From 16 to 18 December 2025, the partners of the Erasmus+ BRIGHTER project met in Lisbon, hosted by the Instituto Politécnico de Lisboa, for the project's kick-off meeting.
The kick-off meeting of the BRIGHTER project took place from 16 to 18 December 2025 in Lisbon, hosted by the Instituto Politécnico de Lisboa (IPL). On 18 December, the delegation visited the campus of ISEL, the IPL's engineering school.
Funded by the European Union's Erasmus+ programme with a budget of around 1 million euros, BRIGHTER is coordinated by ENTER Network. The consortium includes ESN STUBA, Burundi's Ministry of Education, five Burundian universities, KIT – Digital Innovation HUB and ISEL-IPL. Over four years, the project aims to improve the quality of higher education in Burundi by training teacher-researchers, modernising curricula and developing skills in renewable energy and technological innovation.
The project's focal point is Professor Emile NIBONA, Dean of the Institute of Applied Pedagogy.
